AL scraps Baishakh rally realising people’s sufferings: Quader

Awami League will refrain from bringing out its procession on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh tomorrow in Dhaka.

“We will not bring out any procession this year, realising sufferings to the city dwellers,” AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader today revealed the decision taken in a meeting of the party’s executive council at Gono Bhaban with Hasina in the chair yesterday.

On this occasion, Awami League use to bring out procession from Bahadur Shah Park and end it at Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka every year, Quader said.
