AL gets verified Twitter account
Authorities of social networking service Twitter today verified the official account of ruling Awami League that has 24.8 thousand followers across the world.
The announcement came through the party’s Facebook page this afternoon.

AL opened its Twitter page in January 2014.
Apart from political updates, the page shares content on various development works of the government and the party’s visions.
Earlier on February 10, 2014, AL’s Facebook profile was verified.
Social media platform Twitter has over 310 million active users.
Meanwhile on September 1, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia opened her official fan page and personal accounts in different social media platforms including most popular Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
The former premier officially started publishing her status and opinion on the Facebook page and Twitter account at a programme marking the party’s 38th founding anniversary at Dhaka’s Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.
