AL council to go live on Facebook

 

The 20th national council of Bangladesh Awami League will be live-streamed through the party’s verified Facebook page.

Scheduled to be started at 10:00am on Saturday, this coverage will continue round the clock till the closing session in the next day.

The Centre for Research and Information (CRI), the research wing of the party, will look after the entire supervision of the online coverage, sources said.  

CRI Executive Director, Sabbir Bin Shams told The Daily Star that this initiative is designed to make sure activists from grassroots level can also stand in solidarity with the participants at the venue, making the council an inclusive one.

Moreover, CRI will set up two stalls at the venue where publications showcasing the development of the country under Sheikh Hasina’s government will be portrayed.

Four more installations will be set up to illustrate various struggles of the party, specially Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her movements for peoples’ rights ( from 1981 to 1996), Bangabandhu in photos, his historic speech of 7th and Journey of Bangladesh Awami League (1949-2008).
