Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a press conference tomorrow afternoon to brief the media about her recent visit to Japan.

The news conference will be held at 4:00pm at her official Gono Bhaban residence, Asif Kabir, assistant press secretary to the prime minister, told The Daily Star.

She returned home yesterday after wrapping her four-day official visit to Japan.

During her stay in Japan, the prime minister held summit-level talks with her Japanese counterpart at his office on May 26 when Japan pledged an assistance of 600 billion yen (equivalent to US$5.90 billion) to Bangladesh over the next five years.

At a joint press conference, Japanese Premier Shinzo Abe said his country has proposed the formation of Bay of Bengal Industrial Growth Belt to help Bangladesh realise its huge economic potentials and expedite its growth.
