Paoli Dam in Dhaka

Popular Indian actress Paoli Dam is set to act in a Bangladeshi film for the first time. She had only worked in a Bangladesh-India joint venture film, “Moner Manush”.

Paoli is currently in Dhaka, where she will stay for a week as part of her work in the film “Shotta”, directed by Hasibur Reza Kallol. She will be cast opposite Shakib Khan in the film.

She arrived in the city on Saturday, where the Mahurat of the film was held in a city hotel.

“Shotta” is being made under the banner of Taranga Entertainment, based on Sohani Hossain's novel “Ma”. Bappa Mazumdar will direct music for it.

Meanwhile, Paoli's latest film “Parapar” was released in Kolkata last week. The Dhallywood audience will be waiting in anticipation to see what she delivers for them, after creating much stir both in Tollywood (through “Bedroom”) and Bollywood (“Hate Story”).
