Pakistani held with Tk 1.17cr foreign currency

Customs officials today held a Pakistani national and seized Tk 1.17 core worth foreign currency from him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

The Pakistani national, Muhammad Selim, 36, was carrying Indian Rupees concealed inside his luggage after landing at the airport in a Pakistan flight.

The Pakistani national was caught when he was crossing the green channel around 12:45pm, said Kazi Md Ziauddin, joint commissioner of customs.
