Bus torched in Gendaria

Miscreants set fire to a passenger bus in Shamibag area of Gendaria in Dhaka this evening.

A Gulistan-bound Ananda Transport bus was torched around 5:45pm, said Syed Shahid Alam, officer-in-charge of Gendaria Police Station.

Miscreants, in guise of passengers, set fire to the back row seats before getting down from the vehicle, Shahid told The Daily Star.

No one was injured in the incident, and no one could be detained in this connection, he added.

Locals and police doused the fire later.
