FinPro Consultants Limited hosts a webinar on data science

FinPro Consultants Limited hosted a webinar recently titled "Data Science: The Future Career" aiming to provide an overall idea about data science and to encourage people to pursue a career in it.

The webinar hosted through Zoom had a good number of participants from various disciplines. It was live-streamed on Facebook.

The discussants were -- SUST Prof SM Khurshid Alam, Jahangirnagar University professors Md Fazlul Karim Patwary and Prof Md Jamal Uddin, and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center's Associate Professor Abu Minhajuddin.

Md Latiful Islam, chairman of FinPro Consultants Limited, moderated the session and presented a keynote regarding the issue.

Prof Fazlul Karim Patwary briefed the participants on how a person will become a data scientist and what kind of knowledge is required to work in this field.

Prof Abu Minhajuddin focused on overall use of data science specially in medical science and updated the participants about the global job market for data scientists.

He emphasised on the data-quality during developing model. Other panelists shared their experiences on how data science helped them in their research work.

A team of experienced bankers, IT professionals and chartered accountants launched FinPro Consultants Limited in 2019 aiming to contribute in the country's financial, corporate and SME sectors by providing trainings.
