The staff of Burger King, a global fast food franchise, have shared a set of iftar meal with the frontline health professionals of Kurmitola General Hospital, Mugda Medical College and Hospital and Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in Dhaka, as a token of appreciation.

"It was a privilege to be able to offer some form of comfort to those who have been working relentlessly to help keep this pandemic at bay," Burger King Bangladesh said in a press statement recently.

"A meal with warm, safe, hygienic, and freshly-made burgers and fries can at least show the overworked healthcare workers that they are appreciated. We shall not forget the critical role our frontliners are playing and how important our healthcare and essential services are to all of us," the statement also read.

The fast food franchisee has also conveyed its firm commitment of not stopping there, adding that they will be serving the healthcare workers with 25 percent discount on all of its food items.

At Kurmitola General Hospital, Burger King took it a step further by handing over 300 pieces of face shields to the hospital authority.

Burger King, a globally known burger chain brand, entered the Bangladesh market through a long-term franchise agreement to launch and expand the brand with Tiffin Box Limited, a Bangla Trac Group company.

The brand is looking forward to delivering exceptional food and an extraordinary guest experience as it continues to open restaurants across the country.
