Man stabbed dead in Moghbazar

A man was stabbed to death by a stalker in Dhaka’s Moghbazar area this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Dulal Miah Tola, 45, a resident of Dilu Road in Moghbazar.

Dulal came under attack by stalker Sajib Ahmed Roky at the wedding programme of his nephew at Priyanka Shooting Palace in Moghbazar, said Alamgir Hossain, brother-in-law of the victim.

The victim was rushed to a private hospital in the area where doctors declared him dead, Alamgir said.

Sajib also stabbed his wife Firoza Khatun indiscriminately, leaving her injured critically, he said.

She was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Abdul Khan, assistant sub-inspector of the hospital’s police outpost, told The Daily Star.
