Bangladesh Media Forum launched to unleash potentials of media industry

A new initiative, Bangladesh Media Forum, has been launched on October 6, 2016 with the vision to create a platform where Bangladeshi media community can discuss, debate, and plan a more transparent and accountable media industry towards progress.

A new initiative, Bangladesh Media Forum, has been launched with the vision to create a platform where Bangladeshi media community can discuss, debate, and plan a more transparent and accountable media industry towards progress.

The initiative was made following a discussion on the media industry of Bangladesh organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum at Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka on Thursday. The discussion progressed towards forming the new platform and its working committee, according to a release floated this evening.

The new platform aims at bringing all the media industry leaders of the country together under one roof to have a dialogue on how to bring a sustainable development to this sector by promoting best practices towards commercial media management, educating and enhancing capability of the media industry professionals, and developing data centric approach and promoting credible measurement system across media platforms (TV, Print, Radio, Digital, etc.).

The event was attended by media channels, media agencies and advertisers of the country and consisted of a series of presentations to identify the current needs of the industry as well as propose a way forward.

In order to keep the platform under counselling of the immaculate minds of the industry, an advisory committee has also been formed, which includes renowned media personalities like Anjan Chowdhury, Mozammel Haque Babu, Shykh Seraj, Faridur Reza Sagar, Geeteara Safiya Chowdhury, and Ramendu Majumdar among others.
