UK zoo to open national poo museum

If you're in the UK and are looking for some stinkin' fun plans during the weekends, you're in luck!

The Isle of Wight Zoo in the UK announced on Tuesday that it will be opening a museum devoted to poo on March 25, reports Mashable.

The National Poo Museum will celebrate that smelly, sometimes glorious but usually all-around unpleasant thing we call poop.

"It's stinky, unpleasant and sometimes dangerous stuff — but it's all around us and inside us too — and perhaps surprisingly our planet would be a much poorer place without it," a spokeswoman told the Isle of Wight County Press.

"The museum is set to be the place to immerse oneself in the wonder of excrement while finding out lots of extraordinary nuggets of information about all things poo-y, kids will love it!" the spokeswoman also said.

The museum will feature a 38 million-year-old decal specimen besides other relics such as freeze-dried poo, poop hanging from the ceiling, and poop from various different species like meerkats, foxes, cows, owls, and even human babies!

Artist Eccleston George has been updating about the museum in his Twitter account.

It is high time we give poop some recognition and stop treating it so crappy!
