South Korean Embassy accepting visa applications from Oct 24

South Korean Embassy in Dhaka will resume accepting visa applications from October 24, due to the improved Covid-19 situation and the low number of Covid-19 cases among the Bangladeshi arrivals in the country.

The embassy will accept visa applications from 9:30 am to12:00 pm on Sundays to Thursdays, said a press release of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh on its website today.

All Bangladeshi visitors to South Korea have been advised to be fully vaccinated before their travel and take a high level of precautionary measures before, during and after arriving in the country to avoid Covid-19 infections.

If noticeable Covid-positive cases among Bangladeshi arrivals in South Korea happen again, restrictive measures on visa applications can be reinstated by the Government of the Republic of Korea as happened in April 2021.

Those who are scheduled to stay in South Korea for long-term (more than 90 days) such as international students and researchers and those who need to go to the country for short-term official and business purposes are allowed to submit visa applications, for the time being, added the release.

Non-urgent short-term visas (C-3), such as sightseeing including medical tourism and visiting relatives, will be limited at this stage.

All prospective applicants have been advised to visit https://overseas.mofa.go.kr/bd-en/brd/m_23302/list.do to know more and send an email at consuldhaka@mofa.go.kr for appointments.
