RT-PCR booths to be set up at 3 airports

The government is going to set up facilities to provide Covid-19 test result within four to six hours before flying out of the country, said Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam.

The government has taken the decision upon demands of some countries.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given directives to set up RT-PCR booths at three airports in the country, within shortest possible time," he said while addressing media at a briefing after the Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat.

The PM has also given directives to disaster and agriculture ministries to remain prepared to tackle the flood which is worsening, Anwarul also said.
