Biman's Boeing 737 slightly damaged after being hit by US-Bangla baggage cart

A baggage cart of US-Bangla Airlines hit a Boeing 737 aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at the Dhaka airport on Saturday night resulting in slight damage to the aircraft.

In another incident, a Cobus of the same private airlines hit a VIP bus of the national flag carrier at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday causing minor damage to the Biman's vehicle.

Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, managing director & CEO of Biman said this while talking to The Daily Star.

He also said the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh is investigating both the incidents.

The respective department of Biman is assessing the damage to the aircraft. The airlines also reported the incident to the Boeing Company to repair the aircraft as soon as possible.

The Biman boss further said that US-Bangla will bear the repair cost for the damages.

Biman spokesperson Tahera Khandaker told The Daily Star that a line of trolleys of US-Bangla hit the grounded Boeing-737 at the airport's bay area.
