-    India hopes intervention of the UN’s secretary general on the Bangladesh tragedy. She says that it is not only about the matter of Indo-Pakistan war, it is the fate of seven and half crore Bangladeshis on stake. “India has no intention to start an armed conflict with Pakistan,” she says.
-    Sector Commander Major Shawkat calls a meeting before attacking Tengratila at Baashtala Sector HQ. Captain Mohsin, Captain Akbar, Capt Helal, Lt Mahbubar Rahman and a few FF leaders are also present at the meeting.
-    A conflict breaks out at Kaliganj between Muktibahini and Pakistan armed forces in Wapda Colony. 3rd Rajput battalion of the allied force produced artillery support in the battle from Hingolganj. 40 Pakistan troops are held captive.
-    Pakistan defense from Naukuchi to Ahmadnagar is weakened due to severe attacks of the Muktibahini. They retreat from their positions.
-    Sahebganj sub-Sector Commander Major Nawajesh Uddin with his troops attack Pakistan force. Rayganj came under Muktibahini control. Lt Ashfaq-us Samad is martyred in the battle. He is given ‘Bir Uttam’ medal of honour posthumously. 20 Pakistan troops are killed.
-    Muktibahini destroy newly-made railway bridge at Gochihata in Kishoreganj. A fierce battle breaks out in the region. Kishoreganj town becomes desolated.
