Noted actor Khalilullah passes away

Noted actor Khalilullah Khan Khalil died of heart ailments at Square Hospital in Dhaka this morning.

A powerful actor of silver screen, Khalil had been suffering from various diseases for a long time.

He acted in many renowned films like Preet Na Jane Reet, Jongli Phool, Bini Sutar Mala, Sonar Cheye Dami, Megher Pore Megh, 'Modhumoti'.

Khalil earned huge appreciation for his character 'Mia' in 'Sangsaptak' aired on BTV.

In recognition of his contribution to the country's film industry, Khalil was honoured with lifetime achievement award in National Film Award in 2012.

He was also the president of Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association.
