Nearly a month into the killing of Rajon, another 13-year-old boy has been allegedly tortured to death in Khulna.

Outraged, locals caught three persons for their alleged involvement in the incident and handed them over to the police, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports.

Protesting the incident, locals blockaded a road at Tutpara in the city this morning.

The victim, a child worker at a local garage, air was pumped into Rakib's body, the daily reported quoting Sukumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

Rakib was employed in Sharif’s motor garage before he switched to work for another garage a few days back, locals said. When he was passing his former workplace yesterday, he was called in and brutally tortured.

Rakib was later taken to a local clinic. He later died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital last night, the police official said.

Enraged locals caught three people – Omar Sharif, owner of Sharif Garage in the area where Rakib was employed, his mother Beauty Begum and one Mintu Khan – and handed them over to police.

Rakib’s family filed a case in this regard. Police showed the three detainees arrested in the case.
