No vitamin A capsule distribution without clinical test: HC
The High Court today prohibited the government to distribute vitamin A capsule among the children without conducting any clinical test.
Acting on a suo moto rule, the HC bench of Justice Hassan Arif and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman said the government can only distribute vitamin A capsules if those are found standard in the clinical trial.
The bench also said that vitamin A capsules cannot be distributed among the children if those are found substandard in the test.
The court came up with the order following a report published on the Bangla daily Kaler Kantho today under headline “ebaro onumodonhin A capsule shishuder mukhe” (Unapproved A capsules fed to children again).
The court also issued a rule upon the government to explain why the government action to distribute vitamin A capsules without holding any clinical test should not be declared illegal.
