No decision yet on SSC exam deferment: Nahid
The education ministry is yet to come up with any decision on whether the SSC examinations will be deferred or not following the BNP-led alliance’s call for a 72-hour countrywide hartal from Sunday.
“We still believe that the human values will prevail in their minds and they will call off their programme considering the situation of the examinees,” Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told the Bangla daily Prothom Alo this evening.
As per schedules, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin Monday.
However, the over 14 lakh examinees and their guardians have been concerned regarding the political unrest prevailing in the country.
The 20-party alliance has called for the general strike this evening on the 25th day of its indefinite countrywide blockade.
