Meera Sanyal at ULAB to inspire students

Meera Sanyal, former CEO & Chairman of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in India and a member of the Aam Aadmi Party's National Policy Committee, delivered an inspirational speech to the students of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on November 4, 2015 at ULAB's Campus A.

After stepping down from RBS in December of 2013, Meera joined the Aam Aadmi Party and stood for the National Parliamentary elections as the candidate for South Mumbai. Meera is committed to the economic, social and political empowerment of women and was awarded the Philanthropist of the Year award by FICCI.

The motivational speech was aimed at driving the students towards achieving their dreams. "A banker by profession, I faced a lot of skepticism when I first embraced the role of a political leader in 2009. However, because of my honesty and support from various sectors, especially from the academic sector, I achieved success on my journey," she said.
