Bangladesh's first CXO Summit organised by LankaBangla

LankaBangla presents Dhaka CXO Summit 2018 brought the pioneers and exemplary leaders across all industries of Bangladesh under one roof to share their knowledge and to discuss the importance of excellence in leadership. 

The event, hosted by Lighthouse Bangladesh, with CSR partner, Bangladesh Cancer Aid Foundation (BANCAF) and media partner Control N Digital, was held on March 31, at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, Airport Road, Dhaka. The guests arrived at 9:30 AM and with a lunch, and tea break, the program ended at 6:30 PM.

The day-long event consisted of keynote speeches on topics that enforce the importance of personal and corporate excellence in the booming economy of Bangladesh. The topics included, Organisational Excellence, that dealt with the implementation and integration of strategies to produce the best outcomes with the right team building and work delegating skills, People Excellence, which explores the importance of talent management and helping women break the glass ceiling in all industries, Financial Excellence, which focused on the ethical management of businesses. The keynote speakers included Mahmud Hossain, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Grameenphone; Shawpna Bhowmik, Country Head, Marks & Spencer BD and Hassan O. Rashid, Additional Managing Director, Eastern Bank Ltd. respectively.

The event also included panel discussions, where various corporate personalities and renowned leaders from different industries, sat together to talk about the various aspects of leadership. This included a discussion on Strategic Excellence, where the idea of an effective leader was revisited in the modern economy. This panel included, Shehzad Munim, MD & CEO, BATB; Ihtesham Shahjahan, MD, QFL; Shahriar Harun, Director, People & Technology, Rancon; Syed M Kamal, Country Manager, MasterCard and Prakash Rohera(panel moderator),

Corporate Trainer and Executive Coach. The next panel discussion moderated by KK Srivastava, Managing Director, Sales Excel, was on Execution Excellence, where bringing big ideas to life and how to execute them efficiently. The panel discussion topics that followed, included, Personal Excellence, moderated by Shariful Islam, Founder, Bangladesh Brand Forum, Innovation Excellence moderated by Ahmadul Hoq, Head of Strategy, Augmedix.Finally, Path to Excellence, which was a forum of Q&A with moderator Najmus Ahmed, Founder, CEO and Director, Lighthouse Bangladesh and President, BANCAF.

The guests in the event included representatives from financial institutions, domestic and multinational companies alike, making the CXO Summit, a great platform for leaders to communicate their knowledge and share their experience with future leaders of Bangladesh.
