Worker killed in Ctg ship breaking yard

A worker was killed after a shed of a ship fell on him at a ship breaking yard in Chittagong on Monday.

Md Shamim, 32, of Jamalpur, was a worker of Seiko Steel Ship Breaking Yard in Sitakunda upazila.

The accident took place around 1:00pm when he was pulling a shed of a ship with a wire, said Osman Gani, manager of the ship breaking yard.

Shamim was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said officials at Police Outpost at the hospital.
