Stocks upbeat

The prices of the most shares on the country's premier bourse clambered on Monday for the fourth consecutive day.

DGEN, the general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose 7 points to reach 3,663 points at the end of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 137 declined, 89 advanced and 39 remained unchanged.

A total of 42,025 trades were executed with Tk 107 crore changing hands.

On Sunday, the trading at DSE reached 3,655 points after gaining 0.45 points.
