Shakib, Tamim climb up in rankings following win

Bangladesh duo Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan moved up the ICC rankings for batsmen following Bangladesh's 2-1 win against West Indies at Florida.

Shakib moved up eight places to number 45 in the rankings for batsmen while Tamim moved up six place and climbed to 39.

Mahmudullah Riyad, who didn't go on to get a big score but made important contributions in the series win, hitting quick scores of 35, 13* and 32* in the three games, also moved up, by three places to No.36, joint with Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed.

Shakib played an important 38-ball 60-run knock in the second T20I while Tamim struck 74 from 44 deliveries in a player-of-the-match performance. The pair were also the heroes with the bat in Bangladesh's ODI series win with the highlight being their record 207-run second-wicket partnership in the first ODI.
