Siddikur, Jamal fare well

Siddikur Rahman played a flawless round of golf as he took joint third position after the Day One in the SAIL-SBI Open yesterday. The 28-year old golfer remained consistent throughout the day as he carded four birdies and remained bogeyless to score four-under-par (68) at the at the Delhi Golf Club on Wednesday. Siddikur carded birdies on the 1st, 8th, 13th and 14th holes to share the joint third position with Chirag Kumar of India. Thailand's Chapchai Nirat grabbed the lead with 6-under-par, followed by Chan Kim of Malaysia at 5-under-par.
The other Bangladeshi participant, Jamal Hossain Mollah fared decent enough as he ended round 1 on one-under-par (71). Jamal traded three birdies against two bogeys to stay at joint 21st position and in with a good chance to make the cut.
A total of 148 players are taking part in the 300,000 dollar event from where around 90 players are expected to make the cut.
