Suhrawardy Udyan rally calls for preventing terrorism
Shahbagh protesters have called upon the countrymen to set up committees all over the country to resist terrorist activities by Jamaat-Shibir activists.
“Form terrorism prevention committees at every district, upazila, union and ward to resist Jamaat-Shibir,” said Imran H Sarker, convener of Blogger and Online Activist Network.
He came up with the call while addressing a grand rally at Shikha Chirantan at the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan.
Shahbagh Gonojagoron Mancha organised the rally at the historical venue where Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered his historical March 7 speech in 1971.
In her speech at parliament on Wednesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the same call of forming anti-terrorism committees in every ward across the country to resist Jamaat-e-Islami and its student body, Islami Chhatra Shibir.
