BYLC to host Youth Leadership Summit Sept 27-29

Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), the country’s first leadership institute, will be hosting the Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) 2018 from September 27-29 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka.

The three-day summit will bring together 400 young people of diverse backgrounds and professions from all over Bangladesh to empower the youth, build their leadership capabilities, and engage them in political processes so that their priorities are heard and reflected in national policies.

Participants in the YLS 2018 will take part in leadership training, discussions on social issues, and collaborative activities, reads a BYLC press release.

The summit will feature knowledge sharing plenary sessions on issues that affect youths, including public leadership, countering extremism, gender equality, education, employment, and climate change adaptation.

Participation at the summit will not be for just the three days, as delegates will be engaged throughout the year to ensure that youth voices are included in government agendas.

University students and young professionals aged 30 and below are eligible to apply for the summit. The deadline for application is August 18, 2018. The Registration Fee (upon being accepted to the summit) is Tk 6,000 for students and Tk 8,000 for young professionals.
