Justice Kemaluddin remembered

Speakers at a memorial meeting on former chief justice Kemaluddin Hossain yesterday recalled him not only as an extraordinary jurist but also a prudent litterateur and historian.
“Justice Kemaluddin Hossain was very respectful to democracy, human rights and the rule of law and we should try to learn something from his works and ideology to implement those,” said Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain.
Law Commission organised the meeting in the capital's Judicial Administration Training Institute with its Chairman and former chief justice ABM Khairul Haque in the chair. Kemaluddin Hossain passed away due to old age complications on August 21 at the age of 90.
Former chief justice Mustafa Kamal, Justice SK Sinha, Justice MA Rashid and Law Commission member Prof M Shah Alam also spoke.
