UPDF supporter shot dead in Khagrachhari

A supporter of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) was shot to death by unidentified criminals in Khagracchari Dighinala upazila tonight.

Police identfied the deceased as Monirul Islam Manju, 40, of Pomangpara in the upazila, our Khagrachhari correspondent reports quoting Abdus Samad, officer-in-charge of Dighinala Police Station.

Monirul came under the gun attack by the criminals while he was playing cards with his some friends at Pomangpara in the upazila headquerters around 8:30pm, said the OC.

On information, police recovered the body and took it away to the police station, added the OC.
