2 women killed in Comilla road crash

Two women were killed in a road accident at Nazirabazar in Comilla’s Burichang upazila on Dhaka-Chattogram highway on Wednesday night.

The victims were identified as Farhana Begum, wife of Ashraful Alam of Burichang upazila, and their daughter Kaniz Kanchan.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moinamoti Police Station Mahbubur Rahman said the accident took place when a microbus hit them while they were crossing the road, leaving them seriously injured.

They were taken to the Combined Military Hospital(CMH), Comilla where doctors declared them dead, the OC added.
