Jubo League leader, his brother held with Yaba

A Jubo League leader and his younger brother were arrested by members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) with 104 Yaba pills in Hakimpur upazila on Monday.

The arrestees are Helal Uddin Mondal, 38, and his brother Belal Uddin, 35, sons of Abdul Based Mondal. Helal is president of Ward No 7 of Hakimpur Municipality.

 A team of Rab-13 in Gaibandha raided Jalalpur village at night and arrested them with 104 Yaba pills.

Later, the Rab team handed them over to Hakimpur Police Station after filing a case.

Officer-in-Charge Abdul Hakim Azad said police sent the brothers to prison after producing them before a court yesterday.
