Girl sexually harassed, teacher arrested

A coaching centre teacher was arrested on Sunday for sexually harassing a girl student of his coaching centre in Pakshey union under Ishwardi upazila.
The arrestee Md Samsul Haque, 42, hails from Vangura upazila of the district. He runs a coaching centre for college students in Baghoil village.
Ishwardi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Azim Uddin, quoting locals, said Samsul harassed a college girl of his coaching centre recently and its video was uploaded on the internet, sparking agitation in the village.
When the villagers came to know about the incident, they caught Samsul on Sunday night and informed police. Police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused teacher, the OC said.
Father of the victim filed a case with the police station on Sunday night, accusing Samsul of sexually harassing his daughter.
“The accused teacher was sent to jail through a court,” the OC said.
