2 drivers killed in Dinajpur road crash

Two drivers were burnt to death when a bus and a truck burst into flame after a head-on collision on Dinajpur-Thakurgaon highway in Kaharole upazila on Thursday night.

Quoting witnesses, police said the fire broke out when a Dhaka-bound bus of 'Keya Paribahan' from Panchagarh collided with a truck coming from opposite direction around 9:30 pm in Battoli area, leaving the two drivers dead on the spot, said Ruhul Amin, assistant superintendent of police (Kaharole circle).

On information, four firefighting units rushed in and extinguished the blaze. They also recovered the charred bodies of the two drivers.

Ten bus passengers were injured while getting down from the bus hurriedly. They were given first aid.
