ACC sues 5 officials for misappropriating Tk 1.6cr of NCC Bank

The Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday filed a case against five people, including a former manager of NCC Bank's Narsingdi branch, in connection with misappropriating Tk 1.60 crore of the bank through forgery and abuse of power.

Mozahar Ali, deputy director of the ACC's integrated district offices of Gazipur and Narsingdi, filed the case with the office yesterday, reports our Gazipur correspondent.

The accused are former manager of NCC Bank's Narsingdi Branch Nasiruddin Ahmed, former deputy manager (now suspended) Farhad Hossain, Executive Officer Jahangir Alam (now working in Madhabdi branch), former computer operator Saifur Rahman and former officer Nazmul Islam (now working in Narayanganj branch).

ACC Deputy Director Mozahar Ali told this correspondent that it was found during investigation that from January 2017 to December 2018, Nasiruddin, Farhad, Saifur and others opened fake loan accounts using 25 names and misappropriated Tk 1,60,88,000.
