Convocation of Presidency University

The first convocation of Presidency University was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on April 11, 2013.  The Education Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Professor Dr Alauddin Ahmed conferred degrees to the graduating students of Presidency University on behalf of the Chancellor.

Convocation speech was given by Professor Dr Jamilur Raza Chowdhury. Professor Sharif Enamul Kabir, Member of Public Service Commission attended the programme as thespecial guest.

Board of Trustees Chairperson Moazzam Hossain, Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Dr Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Board of Trustees Members Professor Mahbub Ahmed, M Amanullah, Tazneen Aman, Ilya Raaz Hossain and Fauzia Ahmed were present at the programme.

Vice Chancellor of Presidency University Professor Dr Muhammad Mahboob Ali, mentioned that the objective of the Presidency University is to meet rapidly increasing demand for human resource development in the millennium and Presidency University is working hard to achieve the goal.

A total of 995 students from the School of Business, School of Engineering and School of Liberal Arts under eight programmes of Presidency University received degrees in different disciplines. Tonima Mondal received Chancellor's Gold Medal while ten other students received Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal for their outstanding performances.
