Shuchona

Venue: Natmondol (Dhaka University Campus, next to the University Mosque)
Four middle-aged school friends meet each other for the first time since the Liberation War. The women recall their youth and tell each other about the lives that they have lived since the War. The final scene finds them confronting a supreme moral dilemma.
Shuchona has been written by eminent actor, Abul Hayat, and is directed by Rahmat  Ali.
Cast: Mita Chowdhury, Wahida Mallick, Chitralekha Guho and Naznin Hassan Chumki. Produced by StageOne Dhaka, Shuchona is sponsored by Renata Limited.

International Dance Day was introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), a UNESCO partner NGO, and is celebrated on 29 April every year.

To celebrate International Dance Day 2013, Shadhona has organised a dance event that will feature Manipuri Dance by Mou Das, Odissi by Shashwati Garaighosh, Bharatanatyam by students of Kolpotoru, Kathak by Tahmina Anwar Anika. Choreography is by Amit Chowdhury and Anika Bendel.

Meet the Ambassador: Political Culture in Germany & Bangladesh

His excellency Dr Conze, the German Ambassador to Bangladesh will discuss, with a selected panel, on the topic of “political culture”. The discussion will be moderated by Adam Dawla, the "Special Advisor English Programs" at Independent TV.
The program will end with a Q+A session. The session is open to all.

Josephite Movie Show

Pulp Fiction is a 1994 American crime film directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film is known for its eclectic dialogue, ironic mix of humour and violence, nonlinear storyline, and a host of cinematic allusions and pop culture references.
The film was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture; Tarantino won for Best Original Screenplay. It was also awarded the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival.
Tickets are priced at Tk.500, which includes the show, snacks and giveaways!

5th International French Drama Festival

Venue: Bangladesh Shilpakola Accademy
The 5th International French Drama Festival will be held under the patronage of internationally renowned stage and film director Nassiruddin Yusuf Bacchu. It will feature a special focus on Albert Camus, whose hundredth birth anniversary is being celebrated worldwide in 2013. A French troupe will come over to present The Nicest Bin Ever, an show on raising awareness regarding recycling.
