Passport forgery: 3 fraudsters held in Dhaka

Law enforcers today claimed arrest of three members of an alleged passport fraud gang from the passport office area of Agargaon in Dhaka.

Police Bureau of Investigation identified the detainees are Rakib Mia, 26, Md Kamal Hosen, 27 and Md Sajib, 28 – all members of a fraudulence gang.

Some more members of the gang are absconding, Md Abul Kalam Azad, special police super of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) in Dhaka, told The Daily Star.

The gang used calls passport applicants posing as police officials and take money from them in the name of police verification, he added.
