JP lawmaker Tajul Islam laid to rest

Md Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Jatiya Party lawmaker from Kurigram-2 constituency, was laid to rest yesterday beside his parents grave at Kurigram Central graveyard, said a press release. 

His first namaz-e-janaza was held after the Asr prayers on Monday at the south plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

The second one was held on Kurigram Central Eidgah ground at 3:00pm yesterday. 

Also the opposition chief whip, Tajul died at the capital's United Hospital at 11:41pm on Monday after he was admitted to the hospital with heart complications on August 12.

A resident of Sabujpara in Kurigram Sadar and presidium member of JP, Tajul became MP seven times.

He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.
