First app-based ambulance service launched

Bangladesh's first app-based ambulance service URAL EMS was launched recently.

With the slogan "Be a Champion, Save a Life", URAL EMS, a health tech startup, started its operation in Dhaka, said a press release yesterday.

URALl EMS provides a standardised ambulance service through its app which is available on Google Play Store.

Using a smartphone, a patient can get a hassle-free and cost effective ambulance service within a short time.

Four types of ambulances are now available in its service portfolio which consists of A/C, Non A/C, ICU or Cardiac Ambulance and Freezer.

The mission of URAL EMS is to ensure faster ambulance response time and standardised service through power of technology in order to solve a critical problem that emergency patients face frequently.

"At present, we are teaming up with government stakeholders, doctors community, hospitals and ambulance owners," said Shahriar Farid, co-founder and CEO of Woadec Ltd, developer of URAL EMS.
