Ctg Road Death: Driver, helper still at large

Four days have passed since Rezaul Karim Roni, a 35-year-old businessman, was allegedly pushed off a minibus, run over and killed following an altercation with the driver's helper in City Gate area near the port city on Monday, but police are yet to arrest the driver and his helper.

Law enforcers have been conducting drives in different areas of the city and district to arrest the duo, said Sub-inspector Dhiman Majumder of Akbar Shah Police Station, also the case's investigation officer. On Tuesday, the family filed the murder case against Didarul Alam, 35, the minibus driver, and Md Manik, 32, his helper, with the police station, said the SI.

Meanwhile, demanding immediate arrest of the driver and helper, family members and locals formed a human chain in City Gate area yesterday. A significant number of women and children took part in the event.
