Ashraful Islam passes away

Md Ashraful Islam, a senior customs official, died of cardiac arrest at Ayesha Memorial Hospital in Dhaka, said a press release. He was 41.

He joined the customs department through 22nd BCS and had been serving as a director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

National Board of Revenue Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, BCS (Customs & VAT) Association President Khondaker Muhammad Aminur Rahman, its Secretary General Md Shahidul Islam expressed deep shock at his untimely demise, said an NBR press statement.
