Anwara Begum passes away

Anwara Begum, mother of Prothom Alo's Chittagong Bureau staff reporter Gazi Firoj Shibli, died at a private hospital in the port city yesterday, aged 75, said a press release. 

She was suffering from various age-related complications. Anwara was buried at her family graveyard in Hathazari upazila after a namaz-e-janaza.

Members of Chittagong Press Club and Chittagong Union of Journalists expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.
