AL shows annual income of Tk 20cr

Awami League yesterday submitted its audited financial statement for 2017 to the Election Commission (EC), showing total earnings of about Tk 20.24 crore.

The total expenditure of the party was around Tk 13.63 crore, with Tk 6.61 crore being surplus.

AL office secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap submitted the report to EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka.

Talking to reporters, Golap said the party received Tk 10 crore as grant for contracting its head office on Bangabandhu Avenue and  the party spent the money for it.

According to the financial statement both income and expenditure of the ruling party increased than the previous years'.
