1 killed, 5 injured in bus plunge

A man was killed and five others were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost his control over the steering wheel in Dakshin Sunamganj upazila in Sunamganj yesterday.

The deceased is Abu Bakar Siddique, 52, said police.

The bus was overloaded with passengers, said Iftikhar Uddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Dakshin Sunamganj Police Station.

The injured were sent to local hospitals.
