Plot: It's an old fashioned boy-meets-girl story where Shourov (Arefin Shuvo), a middle-class college student and Megha (Airin), a rich overprotected girl fall in love. Megha's father will stop at nothing to keep them apart while Shourov will not marry her without her father's consent.
Review: If you like to laugh at the sheer folly of mainstream Bangladeshi cinema, then this is the film for you. It is entertaining from beginning to end given that you keep your expectations at a minimum. When you see the reflection of the light reflectors on the sunglasses of the actors, you get some idea about the amount of care that went into making the film. The entire story was building up for a climactic final confrontation between Megha's father and Shourov, which never really takes place. However, there were some noticeable aspects of this film. There were scenes where actors looked directly at the camera as if they are talking to the audience. The background score and ambience worked as a cue for what the audience should be looking at, making amends for the lousy cinematography. The songs of the film (Jaane Khoda, Bhalobasha Zindabaad and Chupi Chupi Alapon) by Shouquat Ali Imon enticed the audience with its infectious rhythms tune and arrangement. Arefin Shuvo, being the skilled dancer that he is, made the dance numbers more enjoyable to watch. Adding to its visual appeal was the debutant actress Airin. Being a well-established model gave her an upper hand in pulling off all the revealing dresses she wore in this film. The chemistry between the two lead characters was adorable. It seems that Arefin Shuvo is blessed with all the attributes of a successful film actor.
