No gas for 48 hours in Savar, Dhamrai, Manikganj from 10pm on Eid day

Gas supply to all customers in Savar, Dhamrai and Manikganj will remain suspended for 48 hours – from 10pm on Eid day.

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited has decided to suspend gas supply to repair the transmission lines.

Engineer Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem, manager of Titas Gas in Savar Zone, confirmed the development to our Savar correspondent this afternoon.

He said that the supply of gas to all types of customers would be halted for 48 hours. There will be less pressure in all areas during Eid. Taking everything into account, the mentioned time and date have been selected for transmission line repair.

He further said that a notice has been issued in this regard.

Meanwhile, Engineer Haji Abdur Rahim, manager of Titas Gas' Manikganj Zone told The Daily Star that gas connections in whole Manikganj district and Dhamrai upazila will also be suspended for 48 hours--from 10 pm on Eid day due to repair the transmission lines.

However, Eid is expected to fall on May 2 if the moon appears on the 29th Ramadan.
