Another consignment of metro rail coaches reaches Mongla port

Another consignment of metro rail coaches with four bogies and two engines reached the Mongla port this afternoon.

The cargo ship carrying the consignment anchored at jetty- 7 of the port. It also brought 244 tonnes of metro rail equipment, our Bagerhat correspondent reports quoting authorities.

The ship with the coaches left the port of Kobe in Japan on August 25.

After the unloading, the coaches will be transported to Diabari depot in Dhaka's Uttara by river, said Md Ohiduzzaman, general manager of Ancient Steam Ship Company Limited, a local shipping agent of the foreign ship.
