1st batch of Dhaka Metro Rail staff undergoing training in Delhi

The first batch of operations and maintenance staff and officials of Dhaka Metro Rail is undergoing training at the prestigious Delhi Metro Rail Academy (DMRA) in Shastri Park Depot in east Delhi.

The training of the first batch of Dhaka Metro Rail's core staff and officers, comprising of 19 operations and 17 rolling stock officials, by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials began from October 14 under an agreement signed between DMRC and NKDM Association, a consortium.

Hundred and sixty-three officials of Dhaka Metro Rail will be undergoing training at DMRA, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

The training duration of the courses will vary from 24 days to 156 days as per the job profile of the participants, the DMRC said in a statement.

The training module includes interactive classroom sessions, demonstrations, simulators, practical and on-job training.

Dhaka Metro Rail will soon be beginning its journey with the opening of the first line known as MRT Line-6.

The DMRA had earlier conducted short-term courses for MRT Jakarta and LRT Colombo also.
