The BNP headquarters wore a deserted look this morning as there was no party leader or activist there following a clash between the party men and police yesterday.

A huge number of law enforcers took position in front of the BNP's Nayapaltan office. They put barricades on the roads as well as all the alleyways leading to Nayapaltan.

Police also stopped vehicular movement from Islami Bank Hospital to Fakirapool roundabout and questioned those, who wanted to enter the Nayapaltan area, before allowing them to enter the area.

Visiting the area this morning, The Daily Star correspondent found that all the business establishments were shut.

Police took control of the entire area yesterday, driving out the BNP men from there.

A man was killed and more than 50 others were injured in the BNP-police clash. Law enforcers picked up over 300 people from the BNP office after raiding it.
